Cindy – Mack Wilberg This piece must be memorized. This is a joint piece, involving all four choirs. Here’s who sings what. If you’re in more than one ensemble, you’ll sing both parts. Bar 1-50: Chamber Singers Bar 68-135: The men of Chamber Singers and the Men’s Choir sing the men’s parts. The Women’s Camerata sing the women’s parts. Bar 136-170: Everyone stomps and claps Bar 170-207: Masterworks Chorale Bar 207-end: Masterworks Chorale sings Choir I, everyone else sings Choir II. If you’re in two choirs, sing Choir II. I will probably have to move some people around to achieve good balance and sound, so this is just a rough guess. PLEASE LEARN BOTH PARTS TO BOTH CHOIRS. Throughout the piece. Mr. Wilberg is very explicit about dividing. When you see three notes in the women’s section or three notes in the men’s section, he is always very clear about who is dividing, sopranos or altos, tenor or basses. Please mark your parts in all dividing sections to make sure you’re singing the right note. Markings ALL: Bar 34 – quick lift after the first note TB: Put an eighth rest after the first note in bars 72, 76, 80 TB: Bar 84 – quick lift after the first note TB: Bar 90 – put an eighth rest after the second note TB: Bar 92 – quick lift after the first note TB: Bar 99 – Put an eighth rest after the first note SA: Bar 109 – Put an eighth rest after the first note SA: Bar 117 – quick lift after the first note TB: Bar 129 – Put an eighth rest after the first note ALL: Bar 178 – put an eighth rest after the first note ALL: Bar 184 – circle the first two notes of this bar, your own two notes in one circle, and the first two notes of the other voice on your staff in another circle.
