Welcome
Dr. Jones is currently the Director of Choral and Vocal Activities at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, and founder and artistic director of the Master Singers of Virginia. He earned his doctorate at the University of Maryland at College Park, where he wrote his dissertation on the choral music of Veljo Tormis.
Dr. Jones received his Master of Music degree in choral conducting from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and his Bachelor of Music degree summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is an active composer and clinician, has published on numberous occasions in the ACDA Choral Journal and American Choral Review, and has presented topics at ACDA conventions.
